The Situation
The client needed a second acquisition channel to diversify demand generation beyond existing channels, increase brand awareness, and grow the lead funnel for an accounting SaaS. The overall budget was limited, and the effort was positioned as an experimental test to explore Meta’s potential as an acquisition engine for this vertical.
With a constrained spend and short testing period, the client sought early signals of qualified demand alongside affordable lead capture. They required a channel structured to balance broad brand exposure with the ability to identify and nurture higher-intent prospects efficiently.
The Meta account was primed through ongoing organic posting and low-cost top-of-funnel video ads to build initial brand familiarity and warm audience pools.

What We Did
Launched a targeted Meta top-of-funnel and retargeting campaign within a tight budget.
We structured multiple campaigns addressing awareness and lead generation, prioritizing reach and initial capture aligned to an accounting SaaS ICP. The budget allocation reflected the experimental nature, with a focus on maximizing learning without overcommitment.
Implemented audience segmentation and creative sequencing to filter lead quality.
By combining awareness video ads, gated content promotions, and retargeting flows, we separated broad interest from ICP-fit demand. This approach supported efficient use of the budget and enabled clearer qualification downstream.
Monitored quality signals closely to assess pipeline relevance and cost efficiency.
We measured qualified leads, SQL conversions, and downstream outcomes to understand actual campaign value beyond raw lead counts. Conversion event tracking was linked into CRM data for accurate qualification analysis.
Acknowledged Meta’s learning curve and primed the channel for ongoing optimization.
Although the test period was short, we positioned the campaigns to benefit from Meta’s conversion signal feedback loop, anticipating improved efficiency and lead quality as data accumulated and informed bidding.
Balanced brand awareness and lead generation spend to build a foundation for pipeline growth.
We split budget intentionally between top-of-funnel branding and direct response assets, recognizing that brand familiarity is a critical first step for pipeline acceleration in this vertical and channel.
What The Data Tells Us
The program generated 775 total leads, of which approximately 310 were qualified as true ICP-fit prospects — a 40% qualification rate despite Meta’s broader targeting compared to other social PPC platforms. This filtering produced an averaged qualified cost per lead of $32.53, demonstrating strong cost efficiency even on early returns.
Within this short window, the campaign delivered 37 sales-qualified leads and 5 measurable downstream conversions (opportunities and customers). These results indicate that even in an abbreviated campaign, Meta contributed tangible pipeline value beyond simply increasing lead counts.
Meta’s real strength lies in its feedback-based learning model. The short experimental test period limited the account’s ability to fully leverage conversion data to optimize ad spend and further improve lead quality. If the test had continued, a more mature signal loop would likely have lowered costs and increased conversion efficiencies.
In sum, Meta served effectively as a strategic second channel under budget constraints — already producing qualified demand and brand awareness while leaving meaningful upside for ongoing scaling and optimization.
